What We Collect

This is a phone-first service, and we keep what we collect to what a call needs. When you call, we collect the details you give us: your name, the phone number you call from, your city, state and ZIP code, the address where help is needed if you provide it, and a short description of the electrical problem. We keep notes of the call so the pro you are connected with arrives knowing what you described. If you email us instead, we keep your email address and the contents of your message. When you browse this website, basic technical information is collected automatically, such as your browser type, the pages viewed and approximate location derived from your connection.

Why We Use It

We use your information to do the thing you contacted us for: to connect you with an independent local professional, to pass on the problem details you described so the visit starts informed, to respond to your emails, and to understand which pages and cities people use so the site can be improved. We do not sell your personal information.

Who We Share It With

Your call details are shared with the independent local professional you are connected with, because they cannot respond without them — typically your name, phone number, the area you are in and the problem you described. We also use service providers who run parts of the operation, such as telephone and website analytics providers, under agreements that limit them to working on our behalf. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect people from a genuine safety risk. We do not share your information with marketing companies.

Cookies And Analytics

This website uses a small number of cookies and similar tools. Some are needed for the site to work properly; others help us count visits and see which pages people read, in aggregate, so thin or confusing pages can be fixed. You can block cookies in your browser settings, and the site — including the phone number on every page — will still work.

Your Choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. If you were connected with a pro and want the information held by that business changed or deleted, you will need to ask that business directly, because it holds its own records of the work it did. We keep call information only as long as it is needed for the purposes described here and for ordinary business record-keeping.
